All California Partnership Academies now have the option of adopting these courses, which have already been approved for a-g credit. Courses adopted from the CPA program list are automatically approved by UC and will count toward students meeting a-g course requirements for UC and CSU. Using the CPA program list makes it easier and faster for an Academy to add a-g approved courses to its own program of study.
To adopt a course from this list, an Academy teacher must attend a workshop on how to teach this course. Workshops are usually scheduled as pre-sessions at the annual California Partnership Academies conference, and occasionally at other times.
Notices of upcoming workshops on how to adopt courses from the CPA a-g program list will be posted on the CCASN web site.
